M.A.Y.A.

 (Michigan Association of Young Agriculturalists)

Grades 1st through 4th and alumni of the Agricultural Collective

M.A.Y.A offers a collaborative, inquiry based learning environment. The children’s study will focus on agriculture and nature. Members will have the opportunity to dive deeper into how agriculture relates to our world in the present day. They will be given the opportunity to learn from real life agricultural experiences. In addition to our studies, we will be exploring all the different learning stations on the farm.

To highlight all that was learned, a market on the farm will be created by the children sometime during the year. Families from all programs on the farm and the community will be invited to the market. Everyone will have an opportunity to purchase the agricultural products grown and created by the children. All proceeds will go toward supplies and resources for the program.
